Tier-1 brand, remote role, mid-level requirement, metro location, and broad skillset increase applicant competition.
Highly specialized SDN, kernel networking, and cloud networking experience limit transferability across industries.
Strong mandatory SDN, C/Go, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and explicit 5+ years make screening highly selective.
Design, develop, and operate scalable multi-tenant cloud SDN control and data plane software including OVS, OVN, and OpenFlow.
Own end-to-end observability and operational excellence for the SDN stack through monitoring, alerting, distributed tracing, and incident management.
Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-a-Service virtual network orchestration and services supporting BMaaS, VMaaS, and Kubernetes workloads with secure, high-performance gRPC and REST services.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in software development for large-scale distributed environments.
Expertise in OVN, OVS, OpenFlow, Kubernetes CNIs (specifically OVN-Kubernetes), with strong programming skills in C, Go, Bash, and Python.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD, Flux) and designing/operating CI/CD pipelines; strong knowledge of datacenter routing, switching, and Linux networking.
Proven track record in building and operating complex SDN solutions in production-scale cloud environments, including strong SRE/DevOps experience with incident management and reliability.
Demonstrated contributions to relevant open-source projects like OVS, OVN, or Kubernetes networking components, indicating deep domain expertise.
Experience with hardware acceleration for networking (GPU, DPU), multi-cloud deployments, and observability toolchains (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger) to support production readiness and operational tooling.
