About This Role
- Analyze and maintain standard costs (materials, labor, overhead) and report on cost variances with actionable insights.
- Oversee inventory accounting including valuation, reserves, and physical inventory processes, ensuring accuracy throughout month-end close.
- Partner cross-functionally to support business decisions via cost models and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ERP system enhancements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of cost accounting or relevant experience; manufacturing or product-based environment experience preferred.
- Proficiency with cost accounting principles, inventory management, and ERP systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Acumatica).
- Travel requirement: 10-15%; work hours flexible between 7 AM and 5 PM Monday-Friday, with business needs beyond.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in manufacturing/product environments with solid understanding of cost accounting, variance analysis, and inventory controls.
- Skilled in advanced Excel functions for data analysis and able to communicate complex financial info clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Able to lead month-end close for cost accounting and collaborate effectively across Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
