About This Role
- Analyze, monitor, and report on cost-related financial data including standard costs and cost variances to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee inventory accounting processes such as valuation, reserves, cycle counts, journal entries, month-end close, and reconciliation of cost-related accounts.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance and develop cost models to improve efficiencies and support pricing, forecasting, and budgeting.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of cost accounting or relevant experience; manufacturing or product-based environment preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Viewpoint and Acumatica) and advanced Excel skills.
- Willingness to travel 10-15%; work schedule between 7AM-5PM Monday-Friday with flexibility to meet business needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles including average and standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
- Experienced in fast-paced or high-growth environments, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance partners.
- Capable of leading month-end close and audit support activities with attention to GAAP compliance and internal controls.
