About This Role
- Own the evolution and roadmap of Astra's core API platform, control plane products, webhook/event architecture, and developer experience to support scalable, programmable payments infrastructure.
- Define and maintain platform-level API contract standards including authentication, versioning, rate limiting, error taxonomy, and schema design.
- Collaborate deeply with engineering, solution teams, and customers to identify extensibility needs, improve developer ergonomics, and represent platform strategy externally.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years product management experience with at least 3 years focused on developer-facing platform or API products at a technical infrastructure company.
- Strong expertise in API design including REST, webhooks, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience owning platform roadmaps addressing authentication, configuration, extensibility, and observability layers.
- Willingness to travel up to ~15% annually.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Principal-level individual contributor skilled at influencing cross-functional teams including engineering and go-to-market without direct authority.
- Deep understanding of developer experience as a strategic advantage to create platform lock-in beyond features.
- Experience with platform products in BaaS, payments infrastructure, or developer tools, including control plane/data plane architectures or programmable workflow rules.
