About This Role
- Design, build, and operate AI-powered products that generate business value across Novo Nordisk, collaborating with cross-functional teams from discovery to production and continuous improvement.
- Engineer the product-specific AI intelligence layer, including data/feature transformations, model and tool integration, decision logic, user-facing services, and human-oversight controls in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
- Take independent ownership of defined AI solution components and contribute to technical and product decisions, ensuring scalability, security, observability, and responsible AI practices.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience building AI or software products, with experience taking AI-centric applications from idea to production.
- B.E/M.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Strong programming and software engineering skills including testing, documentation, APIs, CI/CD practices, preferably with GitHub.
- Experience applying Responsible AI principles, data integrity, validation, traceability, and auditability in regulated environments (pharmaceutical domain).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams collaborating with product managers, domain experts, data scientists, and engineers to deliver scalable AI solutions in enterprise settings.
- Demonstrated ability to independently take AI solution components from problem framing through production, evaluation, and iteration with strong product sense and technical judgment.
- Practical knowledge of modern AI application patterns, including AI-assisted development tools, AI standards (e.g. MCP), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and enterprise AI platform architectures.
