About This Role
- Refactor and modernize a legacy WPF application into a modular MVVM architecture with clear separation of concerns.
- Design and implement service-layer abstractions and dependency injection to decouple UI from business logic and infrastructure.
- Ensure maintainability improvement, technical debt reduction, automated test coverage and compliance with architectural and code quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET, WPF, XAML, and MVVM including data binding and ViewModel design.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit or NUnit) and mocking tools like Moq.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to refactor tightly coupled legacy desktop applications into modular components.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior developer with extensive experience in legacy WPF application modernization using MVVM and IoC patterns.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal ramp-up, able to contribute directly to code quality and architectural standards.
- Skilled at balancing incremental migration with ongoing feature development in complex business-critical software.
