About This Role
- Administer and support Confluent Kafka Platform including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of Kafka ecosystem components (Kafka brokers, ZooKeeper/KRaft, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, Control Center, Flink, REST Proxy).
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kafka Connect connectors; monitor platform health, broker performance, consumer lag, and resolve production issues proactively.
- Automate platform provisioning and operations using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code on PAAS/IaaS environments (Azure, AWS, On-Premises Linux), implement security controls, disaster recovery, and collaborate with multiple teams on enterprise streaming use cases.
Minimum Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience with Confluent Platform administration and support.
- Strong hands-on skills on Confluent Platform components including Kafka Brokers, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Control Center, and Flink/ksqlDB.
- Experience managing Linux infrastructure on Azure, AWS, or other IaaS platforms; proficient in automation tools like Ansible and scripting (Shell/Python).
- Experience implementing Kafka security best practices including SSL/TLS, RBAC, LDAP integration; knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK) and CI/CD pipelines.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Deep expertise in enterprise streaming platforms focused on Confluent Kafka ecosystem and real-time stream processing with Flink.
- Experienced operating in cloud (Azure/AWS) and Linux-based IaaS environments with strong infrastructure automation and security implementation.
- Able to lead platform reliability through monitoring, incident management, automation, and cross-team stakeholder collaboration in a governed enterprise setting.
