About This Role
- Lead development and execution of AI security controls and assurance roadmap across PayPal’s products and platforms.
- Design, implement, and operate security controls for AI-assisted software development and AI-enabled applications, ensuring safety, monitoring, and risk mitigation.
- Drive AI-driven vulnerability discovery and remediation capabilities, partnering across teams for scalable security integration and incident response.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, application security, product security, or cybersecurity including leadership of complex security initiatives.
- Hands-on experience securing AI systems and strong knowledge of application security vulnerabilities and secure software development practices.
- Strong software engineering skills with experience in building and operating production security tooling and automation.
- Work Experience Required: 5+ years relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration to translate AI security requirements into scalable technical solutions across diverse technology stacks.
- Strong background in application security, cloud environments, and developer-facing security tooling with a focus on operationalizing security at scale.
- Able to provide hands-on technical leadership, mentor engineers, and lead architectural reviews to enhance AI security posture.
