Own development and implementation of control algorithms for STATCOM/SVC power system devices using MATLAB/Simulink.
Lead technical activities including simulation, real-time testing (RTDS), commissioning, and cross-disciplinary coordination for FACTS power projects.
Provide technical leadership and support across the project lifecycle from control design through FAT, commissioning, and site troubleshooting.
Minimum Requirements
6-12 years experience in FACTS/HVDC projects.
MTech or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Control Engineering or equivalent.
Strong hands-on experience in MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD/EMTDC, and RTDS real-time simulation and controller testing.
Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning, testing and customer support.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced control software engineer with deep domain expertise in power system dynamics, FACTS equipment (STATCOM/SVC), and power electronics control systems.
Proven ability to lead technical work packages and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders internationally.
Strong hands-on engineering operating style with skills in simulation model development, controller performance evaluation, real-time and hardware-in-loop testing, and on-site commissioning.
