About This Role
- Lead design and development of backend systems including architecture, data workflows, and integrations for Tax Information Reporting Suite and Core Services.
- Own and promote best practices for coding, performance, security, and automation to deliver scalable, reliable software solutions.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to manage releases, deployments, and production support.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-6 years of hands-on experience in core Python and Perl backend development.
- Minimum 3 years experience with relational databases like Sybase, Oracle, or MS SQL, and strong PL/SQL skills including debugging and optimizing complex stored procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and version control tools such as Subversion or Git.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced backend engineer with strong expertise in Python, Perl, and relational databases including PL/SQL optimization.
- Capable of independently designing and delivering high-quality backend solutions in enterprise-grade, fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable owning backend architecture and mentoring others while collaborating cross-functionally with multiple teams.
