Tier-1 brand, metro location, mid-level QA title, and general applicant pool increase competition.
Requires semiconductor protocol and firmware testing expertise, making cross-industry transfers difficult.
Explicit 4–10 years plus mandatory C/C++, Python, Pytest, CI/CD, and protocol expertise increases strictness.
Design, develop, and maintain production-grade Python and C/C++ software systems for firmware validation of PCIe, CXL, and memory controller products.
Develop, enhance, and debug automated test suites using Pytest and GTest frameworks within CI/CD pipelines to ensure functional and performance quality.
Drive architectural discussions, influence technical decisions, review code, and mentor mid and junior engineers across multiple projects and feature areas.
4 to 10 years of relevant experience in software design and development, focusing on Python and C/C++ automated testing.
Expert proficiency with Pytest and C/C++ testing frameworks (GTest); strong debugging skills with tools such as pdb, GDB, VSCode, PyCharm.
Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps to maintain test execution and gating.
Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology; compliance with Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Experienced in managing cross-project Python and C/C++ test automation in semiconductor or related embedded systems domains.
Capable of technical leadership including architectural decision-making, mentoring, and enforcing coding best practices.
Familiar with AI-driven testing concepts such as prompt engineering and integrating AI tools to improve test scenarios within CI/CD environments.
