Metro location, common SDET title, and broad mid-senior automation skillset create high competition.
Technical automation skills are transferable, but financial-services preference increases background sensitivity to medium.
Multiple mandatory technical skills and explicit 7+ years experience drive strict shortlisting.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across UI, API, integration, event-driven, and distributed system layers using Java/Python and Playwright.
Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and own end-to-end production quality activities including release certification, regression strategy, incident triage, and root-cause analysis.
Use AI/GenAI tools to accelerate and verify test design, automation, and debugging; influence system design for testability, observability, and release readiness.
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software development, SDET, quality engineering, or related disciplines.
Expert-level proficiency in Java and/or Python, Playwright, REST API testing, SQL, and CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub).
Experience testing microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, performance and resilience testing, and production validation.
Willingness to support production releases including participation in on-call rotations.
Demonstrated ability to build and scale automation frameworks from scratch for enterprise applications involving complex distributed systems.
Experienced in integrating AI/GenAI-assisted quality engineering workflows safely into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines with prompt engineering and evaluation skills.
Comfortable collaborating across developers, architects, product teams, and operations for release readiness and production quality in mission-critical or financial services environments.
