About This Role
- Design, deploy, and troubleshoot low-latency network infrastructure supporting quantitative trading operations.
- Manage connectivity to global stock exchanges, brokers, market-data providers, and ISPs, ensuring high availability and redundancy.
- Automate operational tasks, maintain documentation, and coordinate network changes across multiple third-party stakeholders including data centers and telecom providers.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering with hands-on expertise in TCP/IP, VLAN, VRF, BGP, OSPF, multicast (IGMPv2/v3, PIM-SM), QoS, ACLs, and NAT.
- Experience configuring and supporting Cisco Nexus, Arista, or similar network devices.
- Familiarity with low-latency technologies such as cut-through switching, hardware timestamping, FPGA devices, and kernel-bypass networking.
- Knowledge of datacenter installation standards including cabling (DAC/AOC), optics (SFP/SFP+/QSFP), and PTP clock synchronization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with designing and maintaining ultra-low latency networks for high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments.
- Skilled in collaborating with multiple vendors and third-party data center teams for network deployment and maintenance.
- Proficient in automating network operations and incident root-cause analysis using scripting tools like Python, Bash, or Ansible.
