About This Role
- Continuously monitor and proactively maintain the health and performance of eBay's critical services to prevent escalations.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and operations teams to develop and implement solutions ensuring high site availability and reliability.
- Lead incident management as Incident Commander, driving major incident resolution and improving monitoring tools and reliability audits.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in backend or platform roles.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools, and observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry.
- Strong incident management and leadership skills with technical triage and troubleshooting expertise in crisis situations.
