About This Role
- Monitor and proactively address health and reliability of critical eBay services.
- Develop solutions with architecture and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Lead incident management efforts including acting as Incident Commander and improving monitoring tools and SOPs.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years professional software engineering experience, preferably in backend or platform roles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills with familiarity in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).

- Experienced in managing high-scale, globally distributed systems with a focus on reliability and availability.
- Capable of leading cross-functional collaboration between engineering, architecture, and operations teams.
- Comfortable driving incident resolution including communication with leadership under pressure.
