About This Role
- Lead development of major Android app feature areas from API integration through Compose UI and testing.
- Own local data management including caching with Room and DataStore.
- Manage Android test suite and ensure accessibility and adaptive UI across device form factors, plus crash triage and release support.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of native Android development experience in Kotlin with shipped applications.
- Proficiency in Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and Google's recommended architecture (ViewModel, StateFlow, repository pattern).
- Experience with Hilt, Room, DataStore, Retrofit or Ktor, and Gradle (multi-module with Kotlin DSL).
- Strong testing skills using JUnit, MockK, and Compose UI tests integrated during development.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced senior Android engineer comfortable driving end-to-end feature ownership and setting codebase patterns.
- Skilled in managing adaptive UI including accessibility for diverse device types like tablets and foldables.
- Strong in asynchronous programming, architecture, and secure data handling practices within consumer-facing mobile apps.
