About This Role
- Lead development and deployment of production-grade applications to meet business needs within the Commercial Bank Technology Payments team at JPMorgan Chase.
- Provide technical guidance and set expectations for software engineering team practices, collaboration, and output quality, while managing stakeholder relationships aligned with compliance and business requirements.
- Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to enhance code quality, delivery speed, test strategy, and operational outcomes, ensuring validation standards and promoting reusable effective patterns.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- Proficient in Java Spring Boot, containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), relational and NoSQL databases, AWS cloud services, React, NodeJS, Microservices, and RESTful web services development.
- Experience managing full Software Development Life Cycle and working knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, security, and resiliency in engineering workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced technologist capable of hands-on coding and leadership in a complex financial services technology environment managing diverse technologies and regulatory compliance.
- Strong in applying advanced software development concepts like CI/CD, application resiliency, performance, and security within agile and DevOps contexts.
- Proactive in leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to improve software delivery and capable of coaching teams on secure, compliant adoption of such technologies.
