Design and build scalable advertising and marketing platform features to help eBay sellers and advertisers grow their business.
Own end-to-end delivery of complex backend services and APIs including technical design, architecture, deployment, and production support.
Drive technical decisions and collaboration across teams to ensure the solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable, leveraging AI-assisted development tools for increased productivity.
Minimum Requirements
BS/BA in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years experience, or MS with 8+ years experience.
Strong experience in Java (version 17 or higher) and building services using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
Experience building scalable backend systems, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, message queues, and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Work Experience Required: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably over 10 years for BS holders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in designing scalable distributed systems with trade-off evaluations on consistency, availability, latency, and cost.
Proficient with AI-assisted development practices and integrating LLM-powered or AI-driven automation features.
Ability to independently own complex system features end-to-end and drive technical alignment across cross-functional teams.
