About This Role
- Design, develop, and test software components focused on toolpath systems for milling machines within a large and evolving codebase.
- Apply modern development practices including test-driven development and Agile methodologies to resolve defects and implement new features.
- Communicate project status, participate in planning, conduct peer reviews, and contribute to solution design collaboratively with the team.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 6-9 years of experience developing commercial CAD/CAM applications in C++; C# experience is a plus.
- Experience with data-parallel programming, linear algebra, computational geometry, and algorithm development.
- Experience developing for Microsoft Windows using Visual Studio; familiarity with Agile development, source control, unit testing, and iterative computational techniques like Conjugate Gradient method.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong expertise in software development for CNC machining and toolpath systems, with a focus on computational geometry and algorithm optimization.
- Experienced operating within Agile teams, capable of independently driving projects to completion and performing peer reviews.
- Able to integrate and align acquired companies' software processes with Sandvik and Mastercam’s compliance and financial controls, with flexibility to take broader business area responsibilities over time.
