About This Role
- Own technical design and end-to-end implementation of Okta Recovery Vault features including backend APIs and admin UI for soft-delete and object recovery workflows.
- Design and build reliable, real-time recovery system components managing identity preservation and relationship restoration (group memberships, app assignments).
- Drive operational reliability including production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system observability for critical identity recovery infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building reliable, production-grade full-stack applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot backend development.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks like React and TypeScript, including state management and accessibility.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous job processing relevant to bulk restore operations.
- Skilled in designing and maintaining robust RESTful APIs consumed by complex front-end recovery UIs.
- Able to independently break down ambiguous, complex requirements into scalable and maintainable full-stack software designs.
