About This Role
- Own scalability, availability, performance, stability, and reliability of software applications.
- Build automation to reduce toil and simplify operations, including scripting for incident resolution and operational tasks.
- Monitor production system health using observability tools and handle incident management including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 to 10 years experience supporting Unix/Linux/Windows application environments.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Hands-on scripting experience in PowerShell, Python or Shell for automation.
- Knowledge of RDBMS/NoSQL databases and exposure to SRE, Cloud, DevOps including containers (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform & Ansible.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong operational and software development skills with pragmatic engineering approach to maintain system reliability and reduce manual toil.
- Experienced in handling incident management lifecycle with root cause analysis and blameless postmortems.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams within financial services technology domain, particularly involving complex core banking/payment platforms.
