About This Role
- Advance the reliability, resilience, and performance of Gartner's global CDN and edge delivery platforms to achieve 99.999% availability.
- Lead design and operation of multi-CDN architectures, traffic steering, failover mechanisms, and incident response for internet-scale digital platforms.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives including infrastructure as code automation, edge security integration, global traffic management, and service level objective definition.
Minimum Requirements
- Expertise in one or more enterprise CDN platforms such as Fastly, Cloudflare, CloudFront, or Akamai with hands-on multi-CDN environment experience.
- Proven experience in CDN routing, failover using DNS/GSLB, CI/CD pipeline governance, and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Fastly VCL).
- Strong knowledge of edge security services including WAF, DDoS protection, bot mitigation, and zero-trust controls.
- Work Experience Required: Minimum 8+ years in IT with 6+ years focused on DevOps/SRE or similar roles centered on CDN technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior technical leader comfortable leading technical architecture and cross-team collaborations on global digital platform reliability.
- Strong background in multi-CDN platform management, edge computing solutions, and automated infrastructure deployments.
- Experience in incident leadership, performance optimization, and setting operational metrics (SLOs, SLIs) for large-scale internet-facing services.
