Mid-level popular platform role at a strong employer with broad cloud and ML requirements, increasing applicant competition.
Core platform skills transfer across industries, but enterprise compliance and ML infra increase domain specificity.
Explicit years requirement plus mandatory cloud, Kubernetes, IaC, GitOps, AI/ML infra, and compliance raise shortlisting strictness.
Own and deliver complex, multi-month cloud infrastructure or platform initiatives from design to production with accountability for managing ambiguity and risk.
Standardize platform tooling and deployment patterns across engineering teams using IaC and GitOps practices such as Terraform, Pulumi, and ArgoCD.
Support AI/ML infrastructure needs including model serving, inference pipelines, GPU resource management, and LLM integration patterns within enterprise cloud environments.
3 to 5 years total experience in platform, infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with at least 2 years focused on cloud infrastructure or developer platforms.
Practical experience with cloud-native architectures, including Kubernetes at scale, managed cloud services, networking, identity federation, and multi-tenancy on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi, and GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD).
Experience in enterprise environments familiar with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
Experienced platform engineer capable of end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
Technically credible contributor who can drive design discussions, document architectural decisions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiar with AI/ML infrastructure demands within cloud environments integrating GPU management and LLM technologies.
