About This Role
- Own the technical design, implementation, and operational reliability of core backend services and admin console UI for Okta's enterprise-grade soft-delete and object recovery system.
- Develop and maintain features enabling granular and bulk recovery workflows that protect identity objects like Users and Groups from accidental or malicious deletion.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and enhance system observability, logging, and metrics.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building production-grade full stack applications.
- Strong backend expertise in Java and Spring Boot framework.
- Proficient in building modern web UIs using React and TypeScript with state management and accessibility best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

- Experienced in designing and maintaining distributed, event-driven, and asynchronous backend systems suitable for real-time recovery solutions.
- Skilled at building responsive, accessible, and performant administrative UIs that simplify complex backend operations for end users.
