About This Role
- Own and lead the development of a shared platform underpinning multiple AI products, focusing on shared services like configuration, identity, tenant isolation, and model access.
- Extract and migrate shared capabilities from existing products into the platform without disrupting ongoing product delivery, driving adoption across multiple engineering teams.
- Set and maintain high technical standards for ownership, testing, security, and release processes while coordinating cross-team architecture and deployment decisions.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years experience building production backend systems with demonstrable Staff-level scope such as cross-team architecture, end-to-end migrations, and driving adoption in non-reporting teams.
- Strong proficiency in production TypeScript and Node.js; comfortable with Python and reviewing code in other languages.
- Experience designing, testing, and operating multi-tenant SaaS controls ensuring data isolation between clients.
- Familiarity with infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes, GCP or AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and observability; capable of designing for and reviewing these systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in decomposing monolithic systems or extracting shared services while maintaining production stability, able to articulate methodologies and challenges encountered.
- Background including regulated industries (banking, insurance) providing strong security and data-handling experience, preferably exposed to compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or Singapore's OSPAR.
- Capable of leading technical standards and adoption efforts across distributed teams in multiple time zones, communicating clearly and maintaining trust even under pressure.
