About This Role
- Own design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable backend Java services in a regulated financial environment.
- Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational stability.
- Evaluate and integrate architectural solutions from external vendors and internal teams to advance technical capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years professional software engineering experience with Java 11/17+ and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, Route 53, RDS/Aurora/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, ElastiCache, SQS, SNS, Kinesis/MSK, Step Functions.
- Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven technical leadership in delivering distributed backend systems with well-established patterns (caching, idempotency, retries, rate limiting, circuit breakers).
- Experienced in implementing and coaching responsible, secure adoption of AI-assisted software development tools within teams.
- Strong grasp of agile and secure-by-design engineering practices suited to a regulated financial services environment.
