About This Role
- Execute commodity strategy and lead new component, process, and supplier development and qualification for Metal Power Transmission business in India.
- Handle commercial settlements with suppliers, coordinate engineering change requests, and ensure timely closure and development milestones.
- Review and prepare PPAP documentation, ensure PPAP clearance with QA, and support cost-saving initiatives through new vendor and process introductions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical).
- Minimum 10 years total work experience with at least 6 years in costing and development of parts related to die casting, stamping, forging, and machining.
- Strong knowledge of metal manufacturing processes including casting, sheet-metal, machining, coatings, and engineering drawing.
- Location: Chennai, India.
