About This Role
- Analyze and optimize alerts across multiple monitoring domains including infrastructure, application, batch, network, and mainframe to reduce alert noise and improve signal quality.
- Develop functional understanding of how monitoring sources generate events to identify recurring patterns and support data-driven improvements across event streams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance monitoring coverage and quality and support adoption of AI/automation-driven approaches for alert efficiency and manual effort reduction.
Minimum Requirements
- 8–12 years experience in monitoring, event management, or production support environments.
- Exposure to multi-domain monitoring environments such as infrastructure, application, batch, network, or mainframe.
- Functional understanding of alert generation by monitoring systems; demonstrated contribution to alert reduction or monitoring improvements.
- Experience or exposure to tools like Netcool, BigPanda, Splunk, AutoSys or similar technologies relevant to event management and monitoring.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in complex multi-domain monitoring environments with a track record of reducing alert noise and improving monitoring effectiveness.
- Strong analytical ability to identify patterns in event data and implement data-driven optimization strategies.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and integrating AI/automation methods to improve monitoring processes and alert quality.
