About This Role
- Deliver protection, automation, and control engineering for railway and metro traction substations, including OHE/PS and depot power systems.
- Configure and test Siemens SIPROTEC relays, PLCs (S7 1500/ET200SP), and A8000 RTUs for protection, control, interlocking, and communication based on railway standards.
- Prepare engineering documentation and support Factory Integration Tests, commissioning, and project planning ensuring compliance with IEC, EN, IEEE, and local standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power System Engineering (B.E/B. Tech).
- 8-12 years of experience in railway traction projects, metro projects, or utility substations.
- Proficiency in Siemens SIPROTEC relays, Siemens PLC programming (S7 1500/ET200SP), Siemens A8000 RTU configuration, and relevant communication protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 60870 5-104/101, Modbus, DNP3, Profinet).
- Role is based in Pune with willingness to travel for site visits, FAT/FIT support, and commissioning.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in engineering design and configuration of railway traction power supply systems with strong domain knowledge of protection and automation.
- Comfortable working with Siemens automation tools and standards including DIGSI, TIA Portal, and IEC protocols.
- Capable of producing detailed engineering documentation and supporting complex project delivery processes including factory testing and commissioning.
