About This Role
- Lead design, development, and troubleshooting of secure, high-quality backend Java services on AWS within an agile team.
- Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted software engineering tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational stability.
- Lead technical evaluations of vendor and internal solutions to align architectural and strategic objectives in a regulated financial environment.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years professional experience in software engineering with backend Java 11/17+ and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Hands-on AWS experience with ECS/EKS/Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, Route 53, and supporting data/storage services (RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, ElastiCache).
- Experience implementing distributed, event-driven systems using SQS, SNS, Kinesis/MSK, and workflow orchestration with Step Functions.
- Formal software engineering training or certification with at least 5 years applied experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building secure, resilient distributed systems with strong knowledge of advanced software patterns (caching, idempotency, retries, circuit breaking).
- Proficient in leveraging and governing enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools to drive team-wide improvements while ensuring responsible AI use and compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership in delivering regulated financial services software products with strategic alignment and strong cross-functional communication skills.
