About This Role
- Develop Windows-based GUI interfaces and embedded ARM microcontroller code for laser systems.
- Perform system testing, debugging, failure analysis, and test script development.
- Collaborate with optical engineers, physicists, marketing, and customers to develop and support laser products.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Proficiency in C, C#, Python, C++ and experience with Windows-based GUI and embedded firmware design.
- Familiarity with I/O devices (ADC, DAC), communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, USB), and use of version control/build tools (Azure DevOps, GIT).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developing software and firmware for precision laser or embedded systems with hardware interface knowledge.
- Able to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams including optical engineers and scientists.
- Comfortable maintaining existing products and supporting product troubleshooting and failure analysis.
