About This Role
- Own and architect scalable automation frameworks across web, API, mobile, and backend services using Playwright with TypeScript/Python.
- Define and drive automation strategy including test coverage, quality KPIs, quality gates, and lead defect triage and root cause analysis.
- Integrate API, contract, and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with Engineering and DevOps to improve test infrastructure and release quality in a cloud-native, microservices environment.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SDET/Automation Engineering.
- Strong coding skills in TypeScript and/or Python; knowledge of Java/C# is a plus.
- Hands-on expertise with Playwright and experience with API testing tools like Postman, Swagger, REST/SOAP.
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6), CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines/GitHub Actions), Docker, and microservices testing.
- Work from office in Pune is mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced automation engineer comfortable designing and maintaining framework architecture with a deep understanding of test automation design patterns.
- Able to lead quality initiatives, define test strategies, mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering and DevOps teams.
- Familiar with advanced automation techniques including AI-assisted test generation and validation, operating effectively in a cloud-native, microservices environment.
