Specialized embedded DSP skills reduce applicants despite metro location and known semiconductor brand.
Highly specialized embedded firmware and DSP requirements limit transferability across industries.
Many mandatory niche technical skills and explicit 2–6 years experience increase shortlisting rigidity.
Develop embedded firmware including low-level drivers, boot code, RTOS software, and DSP algorithm implementation for MaxLinear SoCs.
Collaborate with ASIC, algorithm, and systems teams in firmware development for RF control, calibration, and signal processing applications.
Debug, optimize performance, conduct code reviews, and implement firmware for hardware data paths and control loops.
Proficient in C/C++ programming and embedded firmware development on RTOS (ThreadX/FreeRTOS).
Experience with ARM and Tensilica processors.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Communications, or related domain.
Work Experience Required: 2 to 6 years relevant embedded firmware/ DSP development.
Deep expertise in RTOS-based firmware and digital signal processing for communication systems.
Experience with debugging embedded firmware using JTAG and instruments like oscilloscopes or logic analyzers.
Familiarity with version control tools (SVN, Git, Perforce) and ticketing systems (JIRA, Redmine, Bugzilla).
