About This Role
- Manage and ensure compliance with environmental regulations (air, water, waste, water quality permitting) across Microsoft data centers in the Asia Pacific region.
- Communicate environmental regulatory requirements and compliance status to stakeholders and senior management, and provide training to facility operations personnel.
- Monitor legislative changes in APAC, support environmental incident investigations, and interact with regulatory agencies and internal teams regarding environmental compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- 6+ years experience in Environmental Health and Safety worldwide regulations or equivalent experience.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check and other required security screenings.
- Work onsite at one of Microsoft’s data centers in the Asia Pacific region; occasional travel required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in environmental permitting and compliance management specifically within the Asia Pacific region.
- Familiarity with environmental management tools such as Enhesa, Regscan, EIA Tracker, Enablon, Intelex or similar platforms.
- Able to work independently, coordinate cross-functionally with legal, sustainability teams, facility personnel, and regulatory agencies in a dynamic, operational environment.
