About This Role
- Lead architecture and development of Linux-based systems focusing on Yocto, Ubuntu, and Debian distros.
- Set up and maintain internal processes for delivering optimal open source software including CI/CD pipelines and testing methods.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance to teams, contribute to open-source projects, and troubleshoot system performance, security, and reliability issues.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of software engineering experience, OR Master's with 7+ years, OR PhD with 6+ years.
- 4+ years programming experience in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong development expertise with Linux distros including Yocto, Ubuntu, Debian, with deep understanding of Linux kernel, systemd, SELinux, containers, SOC systems, and multimedia subsystems.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in Linux system architecture with emphasis on embedded Linux/Yocto environments and kernel development.
- Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams on open source software projects and establish best practices for development and delivery.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across full software development lifecycle including design, implementation, deployment, and support phases.
