About This Role
- Lead software development for Linux-based applications, owning the process from requirement capture at customer site in Japan to final delivery.
- Collaborate directly with Japanese customers and offshore teams to capture requirements, address challenges, and ensure quality and schedule adherence.
- Design, develop, test software using customer frameworks; support QA testing and maintain clear communication to unblock issues and align teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant total experience in software development.
- Proven experience in C programming on Linux OS with software development life cycle knowledge.
- Ability to work onsite at customer location in Japan and collaborate across time zones.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; problem analysis and documentation abilities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced working in cross-cultural and onsite-offshore collaborative environments, particularly with Japanese clients.
- Familiarity with developing software frameworks in C and domain experience in semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
- Technical skills in socket programming, multi-threading, IPC, shell scripting, and understanding of SEMI standards (SECS/GEM, EDA) enhance fit.
