Requires SOC, SIEM, EDR, and forensic skills, making cross-industry transferability limited.
Mandatory certifications and explicit SOC incident response experience create stringent shortlisting filters.

Perform incident triage, analysis, containment actions, and coordinate escalations to response teams following established procedures.
Improve threat detection through alert tuning, threat intelligence analysis, and participation in security technology evaluation and process improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 3 years professional experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Detection, Digital Forensics, or related cybersecurity discipline.
Must hold at least one relevant certification (examples: GIAC GCIA/GCIH/GCED/GCFA/GCFE/GMON/GNFA/GREM, ISC2 CISSP/CCSP, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, EC-Council CEH/ECIH/CHFI, Offensive Security OSCP).
Experience working with SIEM, EDR, or other enterprise security monitoring technologies.
Demonstrated expertise operating in a SOC or CSIRT setting with strong incident response and security incident investigation skills.
Proficient with security monitoring tools, threat intelligence frameworks (such as MITRE ATT&CK), and network traffic analysis.
Experience automating security operations tasks using scripting languages (Python preferred) and improving detection capabilities to reduce false positives.
