About This Role
- Develop and debug high-performance firmware for memory controllers and SSDs to improve performance, reduce power consumption, and decrease latency.
- Evaluate, create, bench test, and analyze failures in firmware, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to isolate and solve issues.
- Scope and estimate development efforts while utilizing AI-assisted tools to enhance firmware development and testing productivity.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-15 years of experience in embedded firmware development, ideally with SSD/storage systems.
- Proficient in firmware design and debugging using assembly and C programming.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of NAND flash, SSD FTL, wear leveling, garbage collection, and firmware configuration/testing for ASIC SoCs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced working in complex embedded systems with strong firmware optimization and debugging capabilities.
- Comfortable collaborating across hardware and software teams in fast-paced environments while managing multiple tasks.
- Familiar with ARM development tools, digital hardware design, and test equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers; able to integrate AI tools responsibly into engineering workflows.
