About This Role
- Develop and debug high-performance firmware for memory controllers and SSDs focusing on improving performance, reducing power, latency, and SoC complexity.
- Evaluate, build, bench test, and perform failure analysis on new firmware for volatile and non-volatile memory systems.
- Partner with multidisciplinary engineering teams, triage failures, file bug reports, and isolate issues using AI-supported tools.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-12 years of experience in Embedded Firmware Storage/SSD strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in firmware design and debugging using assembly and C programming.
- Knowledge of mass storage interface protocols PCIe/NVMe; familiarity with SATA or SAS optional.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in embedded firmware development within storage industry environments such as SSD, HDD, or storage systems.
- Comfortable independently managing tasks and supervising junior engineers while collaborating within multifunctional teams under pressure.
- Familiarity with ARM development tools (e.g., Eclipse) and usage of scripting languages and programming tools.
