About This Role
- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for Android and iOS mobile applications using Appium.
- Own end-to-end test strategy covering functional and extensive non-functional testing including performance, stability, battery consumption, memory/CPU profiling, network simulation, device and OS compatibility, and baseline security checks.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate cross-functionally to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years overall experience in software testing with recent, significant focus on mobile application testing (Android and/or iOS).
- Hands-on experience building Appium-based automation frameworks, preferably in Python; Java or JavaScript acceptable.
- Expertise in non-functional testing for mobile apps: performance, load/stress, stability, resource profiling, network variability, security.
- Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced SDET with proven ability to build automation frameworks from scratch rather than execute only pre-written tests.
- Strong programming/scripting skills with solid analytical and debugging capability, and familiarity with mobile app architectures and APIs.
- Ability to lead test strategy and mentor junior QA/automation engineers, with experience in mobile performance tools and possibly exposure to mobile security testing and cloud device farms.
