About This Role
- Own and maintain compliant Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications across multiple regions by applying legal notes, rulings, and country-specific regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering teams and suppliers to obtain technical details and secure blanket statements for classification accuracy and compliance.
- Support audits and import compliance processes including Free Trade queries, Section 232, ADD/CVD tasks, and develop classification rationale and tools.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Automobile engineering preferred).
- 2-4 years of HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classification experience; automotive experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Harmonized System structure, classification rules, regulations, and legal notes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Shift: 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST.

- Experienced in interpreting technical drawings, BOMs, and material compositions for tariff classification.
- Skilled at legal argumentation and defending classification positions to regulatory authorities.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and navigate cross-functional collaboration with engineering and suppliers efficiently.
