Senior Integration Software Engineer

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain subsurface software applications and Petrel plugins to support subsurface interpretation and modeling workflows.

Build and maintain APIs and data pipelines for seismic interpretation, geologic modeling, and reservoir characterization capabilities integrating AI/ML models to enhance automation and predictive functions.

Collaborate with geoscientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams; participate in Agile processes; ensure software quality via unit testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployment; and provide technical mentorship.

Bachelor’s degree in geology, geophysics, computer science, or engineering; master’s preferred.

At least 7 years of professional software development experience, preferably in oil and gas with subsurface geology and geophysics domain knowledge.

Technical skills: proficiency in OOP (C++, C#), Python, .Net Framework, Azure, DevOps, Petrel plugin development (Ocean SDK), multithreading, AI/ML, HPC, Docker, Kubernetes, software architecture, OAuth authentication.

Work hours aligned to business needs with shifts 8:00am–5:00pm or 1:30pm–10:30pm; no visa sponsorship available.

Experienced in integrating complex subsurface domain knowledge into software solutions, especially within oil and gas exploration or production environments.

Strong background in plugin development for Petrel or similar subsurface modeling software and modern cloud technologies including Azure and containerization.

Capable of leading development efforts in scalable, cloud-native architectures with a focus on automation, AI/ML integration, and robust CI/CD practices in Agile settings.
