About This Role
- Develop and debug high-performance firmware for SSD and memory controllers, focusing on performance optimization, power reduction, latency, and SoC complexity.
- Evaluate, build, test, and analyze firmware failures; isolate issues and collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve firmware development, debugging, automation, test generation, and log analysis.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-15 years experience in embedded firmware development; SSD storage experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in assembly and C programming for firmware design and debug.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of NAND flash, SSD flash translation layers, wear leveling, garbage collection; familiarity with mass storage interfaces (SATA, SAS, NVMe) is a strong plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in ARM development tools (e.g., Eclipse) and SoC register configuration/debugging in embedded firmware environments.
- Skilled at problem recreation, performance-critical algorithm optimization, and estimating development efforts.
- Familiarity with digital hardware design and test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) is advantageous.
