About This Role
- Develop, debug, and analyze high-performance embedded firmware for memory controllers and SSDs to improve performance and reduce power, latency, and SoC complexity.
- Evaluate, build, bench test, triage failures, and file bug reports on firmware for new memory storage products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to isolate and resolve multi-functional product development issues.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-12 years of experience in embedded firmware, preferably in storage/SSD firmware.
- Proficient in assembly and C programming for firmware design and debugging.
- Strong knowledge of PCIe/NVMe mass storage interface protocols and ARM development tools such as Eclipse.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in storage industry technologies including SSD, HDD, and storage systems, with knowledge of NAND flash or other non-volatile storage considered a plus.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and handling multiple priorities in a dynamic team environment.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience overseeing junior engineers and technicians.
