About This Role
- Develop and debug high-performance controller firmware for SSDs and volatile/non-volatile memory systems.
- Evaluate, build, bench test, and analyze firmware failures to improve performance and reduce power, latency, and SoC complexity.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to isolate issues, file bugs, and optimize performance-critical algorithms.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-15 years experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in Storage/SSD.
- Proficiency in assembly and C programming with firmware design and debugging skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of NAND flash technology, SSD flash translation layer, wear leveling, garbage collection, and ASIC register configuration for SoC embedded firmware environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in ARM development tools such as Eclipse and skilled in problem recreation and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with mass storage interfaces (SATA, SAS, NVMe) is a strong plus.
- Ability to scope development efforts and effectively communicate within fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.
