About This Role
- Perform manual and automated end-to-end testing for automotive IDS components and systems including hardware setup and CAN message validation.
- Develop, maintain, and manage test cases and test runs using Xray (JIRA), ensuring traceability and detailed reporting for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, CI/CD engineers, and IDS teams to enhance test environments, tooling, automation (Python), and security validation processes.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in automotive component testing (ECUs, vehicle platforms, integration).
- Proven skills in Python scripting, Robot Framework, test automation tools, and Linux environment proficiency.
- Strong understanding of vehicle networking protocols (CAN, SOME-IP, TLS) and automotive cybersecurity, including ISO/SAE 21434 and IDS concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Xray in JIRA or equivalent for test case management and experience working in Agile environments (SAFe/Scrum/Kanban).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in automotive cybersecurity testing with practical knowledge of IDS, CAN bus security, network segmentation, and secure communication.
- Capable of operating in cross-functional and international teams with strong communication and reporting skills.
- Comfortable with backend validation tools (Databricks, SQL), scripting (Shell), and familiar with CI/CD pipelines and network packet tools (Scapy) as beneficial but not mandatory.
