Strong employer brand plus a senior software title raise competition, but quantum specialization limits applicant pool.
Quantum computing research is highly specialized, limiting transferability across industries and general software roles.
Requires advanced degrees, mandatory quantum experience, publications, and specific framework and Python proficiency.
Drive the development and application of quantum computing software within the Enterprise Data and AI organization, focusing on research breakthroughs that integrate quantum algorithms and hardware for business impact.
Leverage expertise in quantum information theory and programming frameworks (preferably Qiskit) to build and enhance quantum algorithms, error correction techniques, and hybrid quantum-classical solutions.
Collaborate on cutting-edge projects in quantum computing to innovate financial products, operations, or risk analytics by translating research insights into production-level software systems.
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in quantum computing or quantum information science.
Proficiency with at least one quantum programming framework such as Qiskit (preferred), Cirq, or Q#.
Advanced Python programming skills with experience developing production-quality software.
Has a strong record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing or related scientific domains indicating deep technical expertise.
Experienced in quantum information theory including algorithms, error correction, entanglement, and hybrid quantum-classical methods like VQE or QAOA.
Comfortable working in a research-to-product environment, especially in financial services contexts involving modeling, portfolio optimization, or risk analytics.
