About This Role
- Lead and grow a team of 5+ data engineers across US and India, setting clear expectations and fostering ownership.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership by reviewing architecture and code, prototyping solutions, and guiding technical direction personally.
- Drive architecture and strategy for data ingestion (Kafka, ETL Agent), Snowflake, Airflow; oversee data quality tooling, cost optimization, and platform operations including monitoring and incident response.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years in data or software engineering with 2+ years managing engineering teams of at least 5 members.
- Proven experience building and leading distributed engineering teams across multiple regions and time zones with async-first working style.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Providers, Kubernetes, Kafka, Snowflake, Iceberg/Delta/Hudi, Airflow, and Python; experience architecting at scale in data ingestion, quality, and cost optimization.
- Work Experience Required: 8+ years in relevant engineering roles with minimum 2 years in management.
