About This Role
- Develop and debug high-performance firmware for SSD and memory controllers to improve device performance, power efficiency, and reduce latency.
- Evaluate, isolate, and triage firmware failures and bugs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Optimize critical firmware algorithms and work with ASIC register settings within an SoC environment for embedded firmware development.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-15 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in Storage/SSD.
- Proficiency in firmware design and debugging using Assembly and C programming languages.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of NAND flash memory, SSD flash translation layer, wear leveling, and garbage collection.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in working with mass storage interfaces such as SATA, SAS, NVMe is a strong advantage.
- Skilled in ARM development tools and IDEs like Eclipse, and adept at problem recreation and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with digital hardware design, test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and using AI-assisted engineering tools for firmware development preferred.
