Tier-1 employer and Bangalore location present moderate competition despite niche embedded firmware requirements.
Highly specialized SSD and embedded firmware expertise limits transferability across industries.
Explicit 6–15 years plus specialized SSD/firmware, C/assembly and NAND/NVMe requirements enforce strict shortlisting.
Develop and debug high-performance firmware for SSD and memory controllers to improve device performance, power efficiency, and reduce latency.
Evaluate, isolate, and triage firmware failures and bugs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Optimize critical firmware algorithms and work with ASIC register settings within an SoC environment for embedded firmware development.
6-15 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in Storage/SSD.
Proficiency in firmware design and debugging using Assembly and C programming languages.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Knowledge of NAND flash memory, SSD flash translation layer, wear leveling, and garbage collection.
Experienced in working with mass storage interfaces such as SATA, SAS, NVMe is a strong advantage.
Skilled in ARM development tools and IDEs like Eclipse, and adept at problem recreation and performance optimization.
Familiarity with digital hardware design, test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and using AI-assisted engineering tools for firmware development preferred.
