About This Role
- Develop and debug high-performance firmware for memory controllers and SSDs to improve performance, reduce power consumption, latency, and SoC complexity.
- Evaluate, build, bench test, and analyze failures of firmware for new memory storage devices.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to triage failures, file bug reports, and isolate firmware issues using AI support tools.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-12 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in storage/SSD.
- Strong proficiency in assembly and C programming for firmware design and debugging.
- Knowledge of mass storage interface protocols PCIe/NVMe; familiarity with SATA or SAS is optional.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced working independently with minimal supervision and leading/supervising junior engineers.
- Strong background in embedded storage systems, firmware, and relevant development tools such as ARM IDEs (e.g., Eclipse).
- Comfortable working in multi-functional teams under multiple priorities and using AI tools for firmware development and debugging.
